As the climate crisis worsens, carbon neutrality has risen to the top of the global environmental agenda. Many countries are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to a low-carbon economy. The M2CNeu Project, funded by the ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net), aims to foster robust collaboration and connections among ASEAN Universities and Japanese Universities. Led by the Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) at UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Universiti Malaya, and in partnership with consortium members including Kyoto University (Japan), Can Tho University (Vietnam), National University of Laos (Laos), and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (India), alongside local industry representation from Malaysia's Daikin Research & Development Malaysia Sdn Bhd. This survey is conducted to capture insights from a diverse range of stakeholders, including government, industry, academia, and the community, in order to better understand the societal and industrial implications of this paradigm shift.

気候危機が深刻化するなか、カーボンニュートラルは世界的な環境アジェンダのトップに躍り出た。多くの国々が温室効果ガスの排出削減と低炭素経済への移行に取り組んでいる。ASEAN大学ネットワーク/東南アジア工学教育開発ネットワーク（AUN/SEED-Net）の助成を受けたM2CNeuプロジェクトは、ASEAN大学と日本の大学間の強固な連携とつながりを促進することを目的としている。マラヤ大学 UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC)の高等教育機関センター・オブ・エクセレンス（HICoE）が主導し、京都大学（日本）、カントー大学（ベトナム）、ラオス国立大学（ラオス）、シュリ・マタ・ヴァイシュノ・デヴィ大学（インド）を含むコンソーシアム・メンバーと、マレーシアのダイキン・リサーチ・アンド・デベロップメント・マレーシア社（Daikin Research & Development Malaysia Sdn Bhd）の地元産業界代表が協力している。この調査は、政府、産業界、学術界、地域社会を含む多様なステークホルダーからの洞察を得ることで、このパラダイムシフトが社会と産業に与える影響をよりよく理解するために実施された。
